Toby Lockwood

Toby Lockwood is Director of Technology and Markets for Carbon Capture (Europe) for Clean Air Task Force. In this role, he leads CATF’s analytical work to assess carbon capture’s potential as a key technology to ensure Europe meet its climate goals.

Having authored ‘A European Strategy for Carbon Capture and Storage’, containing a comprehensive set of recommendations for CCS deployment in the region, he represented CATF as co-chair of the EU CCUS Forum’s ‘CCUS Vision’ Working Group. Prior to joining CATF, Toby worked in carbon capture for nine years with the IEA Clean Coal Centre, and also has experience in pollution control development for the lime industry. He writes regularly on CCS and other energy sector issues for industry publications.
