Christoph Hünnekes

Christoph Hünnekes has been Head of the PV group at the Renewable Energies Division at PtJ since 2005. He has worked at PtJ since 1994. Amongst other things, PtJ manages major parts of the German federal programme of energy research and energy technologies on behalf of the Federal ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK). Christoph has also been a member of the Executive Committee of the IEA Photovoltaic Power System (PVPS) Technology Collaboration Program for Germany since 1999, and acts as one PVPS Vice Chair since 2005. In 2018, he was appointed as chair of the SET Plan Implementation Working Group on Photovoltaics (IWG PV).

He studied Physics at the RWTH Aachen University in Germany, in 1994 defending his PhD thesis in Superconducting Thin Films.
